We offer a "hand up, not a hand out" to those experiencing homelessness in El Paso. All funds raised through this event will go to our mission to "model Jesus to the community by providing love, compassion, humble and selfless service to the needy and disabled in a safe, trusting, and nurturing environment."
Our residential facility can house up to 193 people and we average 120 people per night. We welcome men, women, families, those with medical needs, low income renters, and Relapse Prevention participants. Guests are welcome to stay on a 30 day basis and extensions can be made as needed. Every person at the Rescue Mission receives a bed, shower, 3 meals a day, access to laundry machines, access to a nurse, and much more.
In response to Migrants' great need, the Rescue Mission rented out the facility across the street and it became our permanent Migrant Shelter. Now, we regularly receive between 40-100 people a day, and just as many soon leave to sanctuary cities. Our numbers are at a constant fluctuation as border policies and migration patterns do so too.
The Corner of Hope is a street outreach to the men and women who are not yet ready to leave the streets. The facility provides warm food, coffee, clothes, access to restrooms, showers, laundry machines and a compassionate staff prepared to plant a seed of hope. We see an average of about 50 people come through every week day.
