Homelessness in El Paso

image714

In 2019, the El Paso Coalition for the Homeless counted 809 homeless people in the El Paso area. However considering the fact that a large majority of the homeless are considered to be "hidden" because they live in their cars or other circumstances, it's safe to say that conservatively speaking, the actual number of homeless people in El Paso is more than twice 809 and more likely to be over 1,600. One of the biggest contributing factors to the homeless issue is the lack of affordable and safe housing. Add to the equation the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and you can understand the severity of the situation at hand in our community.

COVID-19 Volunteer Update

Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in El Paso, we have decided to postpone having volunteers come back for the safety of our residents, staff and community.

We'll be posting updates as to when we will have volunteers come back.

Stay safe, El Paso!

Thank you for being willing to serve and God bless you!
